The Way of the Toddler - Respect Them, Respect Myself
Respect Them, Respect Myself – We BOTH deserve unconditional love.

Respect is a quality I give myself first and foremost. It is from the unconditional love and respect I offer my own inner being that my children will learn and know what it is to care for one’s soul. We have an inner world from which our outer world is experienced. What will I be teaching my children if they see me demand respect from them and yet witness a total disregard for it

Super Fruits
There has been a lot of talk about superfoods on the news lately, but have you ever heard of superfruits? Superfruits deliver antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients that can help nourish your body and keep it functioning optimally. Many studies, including one study at the University of California Los Angeles, have been done on the subject, but you may also see a lot of overstated marketing claims. The bottom line is that superfruits are good for you, but so are all fruits. There

Remember back in elementary school when you didn’t like what happened and you’d call for a do over? How often would you love to have a do over now that you’re all grown up?

Pleaseaholics notoriously jump to say yes, and then wish they had a do over…a way to take it back and say no instead. Rather than rock the boat or upset the person they said yes to, People Pleasers force themselves to hold true to their “yes” even if it comes at

Soda Addiction

<a href="http://www.chatwithwomen.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=287" title="Name:
I have a dear friend who is battling an addiction: a soda addiction. I’ve spent entire days with her and have seen her drink nothing but diet colas all day. For years, I’ve warned her of the dangers of soda, but she never took it seriously. That is, until I told her about a recent study that indicates that her soda consumption might be the reason she’s holding onto those five extra pounds.

A study published in the March issue of the American Journal

The Way of the Toddler -- Engage with Them
Engage with them – be interested in my children as people and as fellow human beings.

It is very easy to talk at my children instead of to them. They are always off in their own little world, while I am lost in mine. Then, when it is time to load up the car, I am suddenly screaming at them to move in the direction of car “RIGHT NOW!” The time it takes for frustration to become my main emotion is roughly a millisecond. What happened?

Lights, camera, ACTION! That’s what staging is really all about. You’ve created your master production. You’ve taken that sad, out dated, and sometimes stinky house with pink counter tops and cracked linoleum floors and created a beautiful contemporary home with gleaming hard wood floors, designer neutral colors and upgraded stainless steel appliances. Of course we’re going to stage it so a buyer will walk in the door and immediately be smitten by

Trust, Trust Them, Trust Myself, Trust the Universe – and then let go…

<a href="http://www.chatwithwomen.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=270" title="Name:
Trust allows us to live more deeply in the present. Yet, it is a quality that many of us struggle with our whole lives. We find it very difficult to let go of not knowing. It is certain that I do not know now how my children’s lives will unfold. All I can do is the best I can do today. I have to trust that my best today will be enough. With all my trust handed over to the forces of life, I can continue to work on myself and create even better tomorrows.
