    • The Magic of Christmas, Holiday Staging

      By Pam Christensen

Christmas is a time to celebrate what we have accomplished and to remember the magic of the Christmas season. When I decorate my home, or help my clients create a holiday wonderland in their homes, I try to add at least one whimsical scene that helps to bring back the magic of Christmas morning. This year I have a special corner, where one of my favorite Santa’s is waiting complete with a magic wand. On the table next to him is a treasured “Santa Cookie” plate that my grandchildren made me last year. The plate is decorated with their tiny hand prints and it makes me smile and feel loved each time I look at it.

When I walk by the “Santa” corner, it brings back memories from my childhood of waking before dawn and listening intently to hear if Santa was there. Or rembering when my daughter was little, and how I couldn’t wait to hear her gasp of delight when she ran into my bedroom crying “mommy Santa came, get up!”

When you decorate your home for Christmas, give yourself the gift of a special scene where you can re-live a few of your Christmas pasts, and create a magical Christmas memory this year!
