She's a former owner of a women’s specialty store in Connecticut, a stylist for TV Soap Operas and is most recently known for wardrobing high-profile women.

Andrea's extensive experience in dressing women over the years led her to write the book "Strut in Signature Style/Reinvent Your Wardrobe" which was endorsed by ivillage.com NBC as a great read packed with pertinent advice for your wardrobing needs. She has been a guest on WNPR Radio, ABC and CBS-TV Local Women’s Style Programs and has been written up in Connecticut Magazine and numerous publications pertaining to "Style" on the East Coast.

Her new quest in Seattle is to meet and educate women on "How to Love the Clothes You Own and Refine Your Wardrobe and Image"

Andrea hears the same story all the time: I have all these clothes in my closet and I have nothing to wear.

"Visual perception depicts our individual style and my goal is to achieve that for my clientele. The total look in dressing for the modern woman defines her image with an edge that in essence, is derived from a refined wardrobe." - Andrea Ward

name Andrea, a Connecticut native, aspired to Manhattan’s Fashion Avenue and began her inspirational career in the rag trade. She was mentored by a top-notch husband and wife team at a well-known Couture House known as Richilene which emulated the designs of Yves St. Laurent, Oscar de le Renta and many of the most renowned fashion designers in the world. Her position developed as a stylist for TV’s favorite soap opera sets where she chose the appropriate ensembles for the actors, maintaining the theme of each program. Andrea traveled to many of the finest shops in the U.S. while at Richilene such as Martha and Elizabeth Arden as a consultant, premiering new collections as well as featuring private showings each season.

Andrea married in 1985 and returned to Connecticut. She opened Andrea Renee’ Limited, a fine women's apparel store, which she ran with her sister as her partner for two years.

In 1988 Andrea joined Steilmann, one of the Europe’s leading manufacturers for women’s apparel, as their VP of sales. Karl Lagerfeld’s licensed bridge collection known as KL was an exclusive with the company and with Mr. Lagerfeld’s profound fame and reputation offered notoriety. Steilmann had a mission to open a ready-to-wear chain of upscale European clothing for women. Andrea, hired for her expertise as a fashion and style advisor, implemented many techniques as a highly trained fashion consultant, accommodating clients with precision service.

Andrea’s vision as a philanthropist was always combined with her business strategies to support a cause that she believed in. Each location was researched demographically for business and how the store could offer a civic sense of support. She often traveled to Germany with the CEO of Steilmann to merchandise the collections that were displayed each season.

Her continued passion to own her own business resulted in the opening of Andrea Ward Clothier, where she was in business for 12 years. For her civic-minded and philanthropic concept, Andrea was honored with the Small Business Award by the New Haven Chamber of Commerce.

Presently, Andrea Ward is the owner of Andrea Ward Consultants which offers "The Total Look in Dressing for the Modern Woman." Andrea’s inspiration is to continue to educate all women that have the desire and need by assisting them with their personal appearance and is planning on writing a series of guide books on this subject.
