Rebecca Morris's Biography
Since it is your goal to inspire women and to encourage them to go for their dreams I just wanted to tell you what last night meant to me. I have been on a journey of reinventing my life, my perception of my life, my perception of how I present myself to the world. And last night was cleansing time - I'll explain that in a moment. It was a great reminder that I want more powerful, moving-forward women in my life. It was a great reminder that I want to continue becoming a woman that attracts powerful, moving-forward women. It was a great reminder that taking care of myself is a very good thing and feels good and will help get me to where I want to go. To see all those women networking and shopping and eating was so fun and energizing and thought-provoking. Nancy Carlstrom and I were chatting about it and she commented that I looked so relaxed and peaceful. And I told her that was because I was so very comfortable being there - that this mixing in the crowd and mingling and connecting with people felt so natural and easy. It was a moment where I saw myself a bit more clearly and understood myself just a little bit more. It was a cleansing moment in that a little bit more of the distorted thinking about myself and my life and how I think people see me got washed away. Those filters that I look thru when I see myself and the world are now a little cleaner and more balanced. I probably sound too dramatic about it, but it is these small moments that make up the large tapestry. And sometimes it is a small moment that for someone becomes a turning point in their life. Then to get pampered and primped and to have all the compliments that I received --- yep, that was also very fun. And it was a great reminder of how fun it is to walk with my arm tucked into a man's arm. Yummy. Thank you all for the time effort you put into making that event come to life. Rebecca Morris |
