Chat With Women Talk Show and Advice for Women

Thank you so much for the opportunity to be on your show. Of course, I thought of many more things I wanted to say to express how wonderful this whole thing has been, but I'd like to say to both of you that you are an inspiration and have made it possible for me to follow my new life intent to do things I've never done before and what a year it's been! Thanks again. I'm dreaming big and making it happen one day at a time!

I entered your contest to model at your Chat Party and you asked me to submit my story, explaining my desire to model for you.

I submitted my name because I am impressed with the idea of your show and its ability to establish an honest, upbeat dialogue with women about women’s issues. We have changed as women and as a demographic and I believe that by creating as many forums as possible it will help us in redefining who women are as a demographic, and what our needs are. They are so different from those of any other generation.

I am a 49 year old, 4 ½ month Breast Cancer Survivor who began Menopause at the age of 39 due to Early Ovarian Failure. These two life changing circumstances have put me on a quest, not only for information, but to define myself and so other women of my generation and circumstance as viable, sexy women who are filled with passion, energy and desire for new and important life adventures. I am in the process of developing a web site to this end, called Menopause Maven. While it is being developed, it is my hope, by entering in your contest, to begin redefining menopausal women and/or breast cancer survivors by example. By sharing my story and showing women what is possible if they aim high and never give up the privilege of being truly a woman, I live that new and exciting definition of the way modern women age and grow. Each and every one of us has the potential to be as sexy and vital as we want to be. It is my goal to be a lightening rod for women who need one, and I see your fashion show as a positive, exciting way to do that.

Both Menopause and Breast Cancer treatment have far-reaching consequences. I have dealt with and am in the process of dealing with both and wish to show women that they too can come out the other side better, stronger, more confident and sexier than ever before. We need role-models to show us what is possible. You and your program are modeling that, as am I. I would be honored to live that example in your fashion show.
