My name is Bev, I am 54 years old, 5' 1-3/4" and was horrified this morning when I weighed in at 127.5lbs. Ten pounds more than a year ago when I was a vegetarian and at the end of another one of life's lessons. I will be picking up a new scale today since mine appears to be broken. At the Harbor Club chat event I will be 55.

I have 2 wonderful sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren. Jeremy is 31 and Benji is 28. Jeremy has a one year old boy and a girl on the way. He lives in Australia with his Australian born wife Melinda. Benji has 3 children, 2 girls 9yrs & 1yr, and 1 boy 2yrs. He has been with his current girlfriend Sarah for about 5 years now. I have been with my boyfriend Gregg since 1993. We have bought a home together and are happy. We just know we have the cutest, sweetest, little dog and her name is Luna.

I feel my life is just beginning "again" because I am retiring. My last day at Boeing will be May 25th! I am a part time Hypnotherapist. I have made 3 Hypnosis CD's and have a web site. I love working with people especially when they leave feeling much better than they did when they came. I have at least 4 more CD's in my head that I want to record. I have a few business ventures I am planning with my sister and much more.

I have been taught a lot of life's lessons like a lot a people, the hard way. Growing up poor with alcoholic parents, losing a son, and having another son on drugs (now clean), had breast cancer, among a gazillion other things are life's challenges that I have been through. It has been a roller coaster ride where I have learned to hang on my sanity because I know someday I will understand what it is that I am to learn from it, and it will be good. I have become a wiser and more loving person because of all the challenges. I am forever learning.

After a lifetime of searching for happiness I have come to realize that for me, life's lessons bring happiness and understanding. I am excited about what each day and year will be bringing me. I have wonderful friends and have room for more. I am fun to be with and have a great attitude. I now feel happier and more beautiful than ever at 54 on the inside than I ever have. This is why I think I will make a great model and contribution to your event.
