Alice’s One-Minute Exercise Tips

Are you really only that tall or are you shrinking? The most common life skill I teach these days is Standing in the Corner! No not with your nose against the wall like a bad child in school - but turned around with your heels and tailbone against any corner of the wall that sticks outward. Find a door jam or a corner and back up until your heels are on both sides then let your tail bone lightly touch the point of the corner. Now stop and notice just how far forward your head is. It really should be lightly touching the wall too. Your head should be back as far as the curve of your butt. If you’re shrinking by curving your neck and upper back forward then your head probably enters the room before the rest of your body - and that’s a bad first impression. Stand up tall and even remind yourself to pull your head back far enough to touch that head rest in your car as you drive. Chin jutting makes your neck tired and your upper back ache – so pull your head back and keep it there!
